The Story Of A Lost Necklace
on Saturday, July 31, 2010

About a month ago I was not so sleepy when I was in bed. I was trying to find something to do to have some fun. Then I saw my mom's necklace on the night stand next to the bed. So I grabbed that necklace and twirled it in the air like what cow boys do with ropes. But the necklace flung out of my hand and made a tapping sound against something. When looked at where I thought the sound came from, it wasn't there! I looked all around and it wasn't anywhere! When I told my mom all about it she was a little upset. She told me to go to sleep and some other day we would find it.

Last night I had a plan to trick my mom to make her happy. I was trying to make her think that I’ve found the necklace.  I have a necklace myself which looks similar to my mom’s except for the ring that has my name on it. So I took off the ring and put my necklace in my pocket without my mom seeing it.  By the time my mom was going to tuck me in bed, I took out the necklace and dropped it on the floor secretly as I planned. “Hey Mom! Here is your necklace!” I said pretending to be amazed. My mom took a close look at the necklace and said “You are tricking me! This is not mine, it is yours!”

“Rats!” I was quite disappointed that my plan didn’t work.
