Crayfish
on Sunday, January 23, 2011
At school in science class(which we have in the classroom) we are learning about crayfish. We have 14 crayfish-or we had 14 crayfish because one of the big ones died. There were two big crayfish (because one of them died), two that had one claw, and I don't know about the rest. The crayfish don't have the things that wrap around claws so they could be pinching things, or the students and teacher. Our crayfish are red and brown. Some are females. The other ones are males. The teacher told us how to hold them at the correct spot so they wouldn't pinch us. She told us that the smaller the claw, the more it hurts when it pinches you and the the bigger the claw, the less it hurts. We've also learned that if it looses a claw, swimmeret(which are basically the legs), or antennae, it grows another one right in the place it lost one of those three things. I like crayfish so much I've been asking my mom for a long time if I could have some pet crayfish. I like crayfish so much so I wanted some. Right now I am thinking about getting crayfish on my birthday......
