Alvin found himself in a cave about to be fed to wild cat babies. When the mother and father went to a river to drink, he was about to escape when one of the kittens jumped on him. Alvin screeched which scared the kitten so it jumped off. Alvin thought how to get them to stop following him and was dodging them at the same time.

Then, he had an idea. He flew out of the cave. The kittens followed him. He flew to a deep pond. Again, the kittens followed him. Then he flew over the middle of the pond. The kittens went in his direction but fell in the water and sank. Alvin settled down on a log to rest. Then the log moved and snapped at him! A crocodile! Alvin flapped away. Then a caracal lept at Alvin. Alvin swooped away. Then a flying snake glided at him. Alvin got out of it's way. Finally, he got back home.
