The Honey Badger
on Friday, August 05, 2011

The honey badger is the toughest animal in Africa. Why? The honey badger is strong, and if anything bothers it, it would usually give them a big unforgiving bite. The honey badger would also stand up to animals or things larger than himself. They're favorite food is honey. They can't find honey so easily, so they have a little friend that helps them. The honey guide! Honey guides are birds that lead people or honey badgers to honey. They do that because they can't get the honey. When a honey badger first hears the honey guide, it gets annoyed. But then it just follows the bird to a hive. then the honey badger tries to get to the honey But the badger gets stung. Then the badger turns around and since the honey badger is in the weasel family, it would spray a stinky smell towards the bees so then the bees can't sting. then it gets the honey inside of the hive. But the badger doesn't eat it all, he leaves some for the honey guide. The honey badger digs burrows to keep out of the sun. When the honey badger goes to a place that it thinks is nice, it stays there until it decides to move top another spot. That's what I know about honey badgers!
