The hawksbill sea turtle is a highly endangered species of sea turtle. 73% of what it eats are sea sponges. 8% of what they eat is algae. 19% of what they eat is jellyfish. The hawksbill got it's name from it's hawk-like curved bill. It's average life span is 60 years. The Hawksbill is endangered because people hunted and killed them and the eggs for food and jewelry. Don't believe me with the jewelry part? A hawksbill turtle's shell is very pretty. It has orange, red, blue, yellow, green, purple, brown, and a little bit of black.
