Sharks are kinds of large fish that are known to be ''the monsters of the deep.'' They have at least 3 rows of sharp jagged teeth. There are many differint species of sharks. Sharks live all over the world. There are saltwater sharks and freshwater sharks saltwater sharks tend to be larger than the freshwater sharks. A close relative to the shark family are rays. The whale shark is the biggist shark alive. The the fastest shark is the mako shark. Sharks may look scary and all, so here are some tips for avoiding shark attacks : Don't wear too colorful swimmsuits-they catch the attention of sharks. When you see a shark, call for the lifeguard or anyone that can help. Not only do you have to call for help, you have to be calm. You should you should curl up to not expose your limbs. Most importantly, you should not start screaming ''Shark! Shark!'' and start splashing away, that will just make the shark think you are helpless prey(which you are). If the shark does get hold of you, punch it and kick it, what ever you can do, and mosty try to get it on the eye or nose. Then the shark will see that you are not it's ussual prey.
